On 15–16 September 2026, the Port of Antwerp-Bruges will bring together the MODI community and Europe’s automated mobility ecosystem to share results, exchange experience and discuss the next steps for automated freight. Here’s what’s coming.
On 15 September (DAY 1), MODI’s Final Event will present the lessons from operating highly automated freight vehicles in real logistics environments. The programme will explore vehicle validation and regulatory approval, infrastructure readiness, business viability and operational impacts, sharing practical findings and recommendations for wider deployment across Europe.
The discussion will then bring together logistics operators, vehicle manufacturers, researchers and public authorities to examine what these results mean for their organisations. Through industry panels and exchanges with European stakeholders, we will look at how to build on MODI’s achievements and how large-scale cross-border testbeds can support the next phase of logistics automation.
In-person attendance has reached full capacity, and we cannot accept further registrations. We will offer a livestream so the wider community can follow the event.

From 14:30 to 15:30 CEST on the Main Stage, MODI will contribute two sessions combining keynotes and roundtables on addressing logistics challenges through automated freight and integrating these solutions into the logistics ecosystem. Moderated by IN-MOVE, the sessions will feature contributions from DFDS, ALICE, Technolution, APM Terminal, DAF, Einride, Volvo and the Port of Rotterdam.
