On Tuesday, November 20th, the MODI Project took centre stage at the mFUND Workshop Series themed “DRIVEN by DATA” – Automation for Effective Solutions to Labour Gaps in Mobility. The event, organized by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport, brought together leading experts and projects to explore innovations transforming mobility and logistics.
During the workshop, Mr. Angjelo Andoni, Project Manager at ALICE ETP, presented MODI’s groundbreaking efforts in automated freight transport. Angjelo highlighted MODI’s progress in overcoming key challenges such as cross-border regulations, system interoperability, and infrastructure readiness. A particular focus was placed on the Rotterdam-Oslo logistics corridor, where MODI is pioneering automated solutions to address labour shortages while enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability.
The workshop also provided a platform for networking with other influential projects, including SAMU, IN2CCAM, and RoboTUNN, all contributing to the evolution of transport automation. Participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions about automation’s role in shaping the future of the transport and logistics workforce, emphasizing the importance of innovation in solving pressing industry challenges.
In addition to presenting their work, MODI invited stakeholders to join the MODI Logistics Task Force, a collaborative initiative to develop cutting-edge solutions and sustainable business models for the future of logistics.
As MODI continues to advance automated freight transport, its participation in the mFUND Workshop highlights the company’s commitment to shaping a smarter, more efficient, and sustainable transport landscape.
