MODI Project Takes Center Stage at ITS Summit 2024 in Australia

The ITS Summit in Sydney, the premier event for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in Australia, brought together over 700 attendees, including industry experts, government officials, and students, to discuss the future of safe, sustainable, and inclusive transport.

The summit served as a vital platform for the MODI Project to connect with our peers, showcase our innovations, and engage in meaningful discussions about the role of CCAM technologies in achieving a safer and more sustainable future.

One of the highlights was the presence of the Hon. John Graham, Minister for Roads NSW Government, on the third and final day of the summit. The Minister toured the expo, visiting several exhibitor displays before delivering a keynote address at the closing plenary. His insights into the current updates and future initiatives for NSW Roads were invaluable, particularly his emphasis on how innovation and technology can enhance road safety—a goal we are deeply committed to at MODI.

Silje Troseth from Q-Free had the privilege of presenting on the MODI project in Europe, focusing on how freight and productivity drive innovation and decarbonization. Australia is very interested in doing a similar project focusing on automated freight and logistics.

The summit’s day featured a Career Expo attended by 150 students eager to learn about the ITS industry. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase what this industry offers and attract new talent to ITS.

The ITS Summit 2024 was a huge success. We are incredibly proud of Q-Free’s participation in this event, representing the MODI initiative. As we look ahead, we remain committed to leading the way in creating more innovative, safer, and more sustainable transport systems that enhance the lives of people in Australia and beyond.
