Norwegian Government Appoints MODI Vice-Coordinator to Road Act Committee, Strengthening CCAM Policy Links

We are proud to share that Lone-Eirin Lervåg, Vice-Coordinator of the MODI project, was appointed last year by the Norwegian Government as a member of the Road Act Committee – a national legislative committee tasked with a full review of Norway’s Road Act.

Appointed by the King in Council in 2025, the committee will develop a comprehensive proposal for a new Road Act and recommend an overall structure for future road-related legislation. Its work will culminate in a Norwegian Official Report (NOU) by April 2028, providing a key foundation for future policy and regulatory frameworks.

Recognition of MODI expertise in future transport systems

This appointment reflects the strong expertise within the MODI project and its relevance for future transport systems. MODI addresses critical regulatory, operational, and cross-border challenges linked to the deployment of automated freight transport across Europe.

These outputs aim to support policymakers and stakeholders in enabling safe, scalable and interoperable CCAM deployment across Europe.
