Last Friday, September 27th, TNO represented MODI at a workshop for the EU project AUTOSUP, focusing on automating logistics technologies. Jaco Van Meijeren participated in the event, engaging with industry experts and stakeholders to discuss the logistics sector’s current requirements, gaps, and opportunities. The workshop served as a collaborative platform for sharing insights and strategies to enhance automation in logistics, bringing together internal and external stakeholders.
During the discussions, Mr. Van Meijeren highlighted valuable experiences from TNO’s MODI Project, explicitly relating to Task 1.1 and Task 4.5. His contributions underscored the importance of integrating advanced automation technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability in logistics operations. By sharing these insights, TNO continues positioning itself at the forefront of innovation in transportation and logistics, fostering partnerships that address the sector’s evolving needs. Earlier last week, Elisa van Kempen, also from TNO, participated as a panellist at the AWARD-H2020 final conference. The panel focused on business models and automation in logistics operations and shared insights into the MODI initiative. The discussion concluded collectively acknowledging the need to transition from technical demonstrations to real-world integration of automation in logistics.
